For our dogs it's the clothes. When we pack up to leave in late October for six months in Florida they think they know.
Once summer is over I make sure all the summer clothes are washed and ready to be put away in the camper. When Lucy & Bubba start seeing the clothes go over...well we must be leaving soon, at that time they don't realize that it's still about six weeks away, so for a day or two they are a little obnoxious.
Now, we get down to the final few days and I'm packing up kitchen stuff and more clothes and finally the pillows...well that does it for Lucy, she knows.
I thing poor Bubba is a bit confused since it's still new for him so he just follows Lucy.
It's funny but they are so excited as we go out to leave but as soon as Lucy gets in back she lays down on her bed and goes to sleep...Bubba sits up on the third seat and watches every inch of the ride, so afraid he might miss something I guess.
This year they will be a little surprised as they are getting seatbelts, I know they are not going to be liking that at all.
