Too funny, but count your blessing, it wasn't a broken off piece of Cholla.
Two great tools to EDC (everyday carry) while walking the dog/s when you'er in the desert States, is;
1. Minnie Multi tool, which has a plier, and a
2. Wide toothed comb. Used to flip a Cholla off the dog, as it's very difficult, if not impossible to grab those dang things.
