You know about living with a Rottie, so I won't address that.
As far as a Bloodhound (or any other breed) -- I always recommend that people very seriously consider how easy it will be to live with the "cons" of any breed they're considering. It's very easy to love and live with the "pros" of a breed. The "cons" are what cause dogs to be rehomed, turned in to shelters or euthanized.
Now, that said . . . If I were looking for a dog to be a girl's companion, I'm pretty sure a Bloodhound wouldn't be on my list. And probably not a Rottie, either. Not because I'm prejudiced against either breed (I've owned a Rottie before, and was good friends with a very nice Bloodhound). It's that both are serious breeds who need jobs, and I don't think either is a great choice for homes with kids.
