3M Eraser Wheel????? UPDATE PICTURES

I did use one on the HHR I bought from my brother that had Interstate Battery Decals all over it(it was a Hot shot delivery vehicle for him). Anyways, I did use one and if your real careful you can avoid leaving residue marks on the service. It works fairly well just be careful with how much pressure you apply to the spinning wheel. I got a couple of different ones but as I recall, stay with the name brand(3M).

thanks, yeah the video makes it look pretty easy but i guess just to get u to buy it, lol. i do use a electric buffer on my truck and it comes out pretty good so hopefully should be ok. just asking to make sure and if anyone has any tips to doing it.

Yes I have used the EW with some success. My decals are really old and sun baked so they do come off and the paint remains. Still a strong shadow from the adhesive. Be patient and it works well.

These things are for use on small pin stripes and stuff like that. If you have a big area to do I would use 3M woodgrain and strip remover. You just spray it on peel off.

I've had good luck removing decals with a hair blow dryer , coarse worked great taking the decals off a new truck I bought years ago, but even on an older toyhauler I helped a friend remove the decals that were sun backed/cracked.
The remaining adhesive he used some 3M adhesive remover in a spray can.

And yes there was the obvious color difference where the out decals were , no matter how much he polished with a DA buffer.

I didn't have much luck with these wheels. It left a yellow smear mark that didn't want to come off. I ended up using a heat gun and plastic scraper. A lot of work.

I agree with other's on the heat Gun....The decals I removed were baked in the Sun and all over the vehicle...I used, spray remover, 3m wheel, heat gun, plastic razor blades, rubbing compound, fingernails...etc etc. I think the most effective was the heat gun/plastic blades.

just want to know from someone that used this if its easy to do or do u really have to know what u r doing as to not to screw up the paint...they make it look so easy like the decal just peels off. so just wondering if that is really how it works. The decals are old and curling from the sun, not new ones.

Yes, I used 2 of them to remove the decals on my trailer (actually the glue). You need to remove as much of the decal as possible, and then get a gallon of denatured alcohol and several terry cloth towels. It is not easy by any means. You will have to use a fairly powerful drill. I used a 1/2" Magnum® Drill, 0-950 RPM
