I missed how old your daughter is, but a dog-loving kid is going to fall in love with the first pup she sees. So...I would have it all researched out before she gets to lay eyes on that dog. If I didn't have a certain breed in mind, I'd ask my vet which breeds seem to have fewer medical issues, great temperament, are good with kids, etc. I'll bet he or she will have some good suggestions. Can't wait to hear about your new family member, when you have him or her. Purina used to have a very good website about "which breed should I choose?" It stated all the pros and cons of each. Maybe it's still online.
