Xmas puppy ***Picture Update***
We had an 11 year old Rottweiler that passed in July. Maybe now our daughter will see a new puppy for Christmas. We are trying to decide between another Rotty or try a new breed like the Blood Hound...

Thank you to everyone for the input. Our daughter has been reading books and looking at pics online for her daily homework. She changed her mind everyday on what puppy she loves the most.
We decided to stay away from Christmas as well. So that is why we brought home a Great Dane yesterday! We found a Blue Merle that we could not pass up. 8 weeks old. Found a breeder we were very comfortable with as my wife had a puppy from them over 20 years ago in a past life.
The Bloodhound was a bit messy for us and the Rotty (my 1st choice) was not chosen because we were not trying to replace the Rotty that passed last summer. We all love the big dogs and we have a 1/2 acre fenced back yard with plenty of play room. Shoul be an interesting next 10 years.
