Xmas puppy ***Picture Update***
We had an 11 year old Rottweiler that passed in July. Maybe now our daughter will see a new puppy for Christmas. We are trying to decide between another Rotty or try a new breed like the Blood Hound...

I would have taken your daughter to the humane society and let her pick a dog and save its life.....
We all have our reasons for picking dogs the way we do. It's not our call to judge other's choices. The puppy is going to a loving home and that's the important thing.
I've had Springer Spaniels for 30+ years. They love everyone, especially kids.
We have our first two and have wondered why we didn't get them earlier!
