2017 Greyhawk poor TV screen resolution

There must be something I'm doing wrong. I hook up the cable at the side of the rig. I have the TV settings on cable, but the picture is very grainy like poor over the air signal. It's the same on the TV in the rear bedroom also. Maybe there's some setting I'm missing. Any advice appreciated.

  • The antenna amplifier was the problem with my trailer. When off, I could get no signal from the cable connection at the back of the trailer. I could plug into the cable out on the side of the trailer, and get cable to the TVs. Quick replace and all works as it should now.

idid u scan for channels? dud u power OFF the over the air tv antenna booster?

Thank you guys. Yes I scanned for channels and the over the air button is off. I will try that idea to run the cable direct and see what happens.
  • Did you push the button on the OTA TV antenna power supply and ensure the light if off? That is the A/B switch used by the RV to choose between using Cable and OTA.
  • You have either a bad cable, or bad connections at one or more cable ends.. to check, connect cable directly into television. If it clears up, there is your problem. If not, then its somewhere outside your rig, get the campsite person to help.
