250' og RG-6
If we are going to have satellite tv (DIRECTV SD) at the camp we will have a 250' run of cable. I like my trees better than tv. Doing a little googling I see a distribution amplifier is recommended...

Back when I was using a portable SAT DISH setup I had two runs of 150-feet of RG6 running to the trailer with one run to each of my two TV's. Didn't have any problems with that.
The problem I was always fighting doing this was what to do about thief control of my SAT DISH when we left the area unattended.
I usually would setup on the flat area of my hard plastic covered truck bed with my dish and this would always make us move the dish inside the trailer when wanted to leave the camp site. Wasn't too bad having to setup again when we returned... We already knew where to point it...
When the NATL BROADCAST changed over to digital HDTV a few years back we stopped bringing along our SAT DISH and now get our TV fill by using the trailer BATWING antenna picking up free CLEAR TV from the local towns. HDTV was better to watch using this setup then the standard SAT TV anyway...
