A Facebook Question

Question about Facebook page not showing up:

This person has a Facebook page and is not currently a Facebook friend. When I do a search for her account it does not how up. I have not blocked her nor has she blocked me. Similiarly, my page is not showing up in any of her searches. What is the problem and how can it be corrected.

    There's a privacy setting in FB for who can look you up. There are 3 choices available: everyone, friends, friends of friends. Sounds like neither of you is set to 'everyone'.

    He should be able to search for a friend no matter what the setting is.

    Correct, but the OP said the person was not currently a friend.

    I had this exact thing happen a while back. I could not find the person in a search. I finally found her through another person's FB page who had her as a friend. I never did send the Friend request. I finally decided she must have had me blocked although she said she wanted to be "friends". I would ask her in a regular email and after a while she did not answer so I gave up and decided she did not want to be on FB with me although she said she did. I have since never heard from her again. Very strange. I never did figure any of it out. All the settings on my end were correct.

    Exactly...That's the whole point..Searching for someone that is not already a friend

    Not really...all of the settings are public...for hers and mine...nothing new to report.

    "Public" is not one of the options for that particular setting.
