A new Google Earth.
Google has incorporated Google Earth into Chrome and made it better. https://www.google.com/earth/ The latest Chrome update seems to have fixed the lockup I was experiencing.

Have any of you guys compared the capability between the regular google earth and the chrome version using the same image?
I'm curious if there is real material improvement in the chrome version?
We are searching for our next home and are looking in rural areas. Google earth has been helpful to a certain extent but sure would like some better resolution. Obviously at a certain point in the process we have to go the actual spot, but the more legwork that can be done before leaving the house, the better.
I run firefox and I am hesitant to put yet another browser into play for just one application.
