I would like a simple broadcast tv set-up for my tc. I'm usually

Is it basically junk? I was at WalMart and took a stroll thru the
tv department. There is a digital converter. There is an HD Antenna.
Are most over the air signals broadcast in HD now or no? Isn't the digital converter for connection to an old pre-digital TV? I have a newer LCD TV in a bedroom in the house I can use in the camper. Wouldn't
all I have to do is buy a digital antenna of some kind, and would I need yo even get it to the outside. This HD antenna looked like a nice way to go. It has a flat and narrow profile, wouldn't take up much space. Or is there just a better basic antenna set-up to be had.
Thanks,
Most TV's since 2008 have the built in digital converter. You will get more channels & better reception. Your best bet is to get a outdoor small footprint HD antenna & connect at the old antenna location. You may need to run new coax cable to support HD signalling. Otherwise, purchase an indoor antenna & try it. It may not work as well as outdoor, but. Use an RG6, quad shielded coax cable for best results.
