Adding G-mail Accounts to Windows Live Mail

I have several G-Mail accounts and would like to add them to Windows Live Mail (so I can read them all in one place)... But my settings in G-Mail are not right and I keep getting error messages when trying to add them to Windows Live Mail.

I keep getting a message box that says "The Server has rejected your login. Please verify that your user name and password are correct"

I have tried and tried with no luck, I know my user and password are correct and I have switched from pop3 to IMAP and back several times..

Is there somewhere I go to find out what my Gmail settings should be in order to read them all in Windows Live Mail...?

    I have the same version and they (all 3) are working but one of them is double loading emails and when I go to my email accounts using gmail.com the settings are not right. When I go to them there is NO emails like there used to be.... Did gmail change and no longer keep email on the server?

    I need to know what the default settings are for gmail....

    I have my two gmail accounts running Live Mail - nothing special to set them up. Here are the settings:



    My Yahoo account and three others are on Outlook. I found Yahoo impossible to use via webmail - too much extraneous junk.

    I just added my gmail account to Windows Live Mail. I entered my gmail address and pw and clicked next and within seconds I was reading my gmail emails from within WLM. It should be that simple for you as well.

    What version of WLM do you have? I'm using: Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

    Same here.
    I have Thunderbird pick up my Live mail, CompuServe mail and my wife's yahoo mail. I did have to upgrade her yahoo a level ($10 per year maybe?) to get POP access to it for her.

    Don't ask me how but I did get it to work...... I have 4 accounts using Gmail (for different reasons I will not go into here) but so far I have got 2 of them to work in Window "LIVE" Mail. I have 1 that for some reason will not work but it works on my phone which is fine....

    Curious. I have it set on my other laptop and will have to check. I use Outlook for my mail and set up Windows Live Mail for DW's so that when we are travelling she can access her stuff without taking along another laptop. Just 'googled' on how to do it and found several instructions. When I get a chance I'll check our 'travelling' laptop for configurations.

    I have never been able to incorporate gmail into live mail..tried every solution I saw on Google. If you have success, I would love to know how!
