Adventurer 6 speed folding bicycle

I purchased an Adventurer 6 speed folding bicycle at the Tampa location. We had it on the back of our 5th wheel and the bike carrier broke and drug the bicycle for a block before we got off the road. The tire and rim were worn thru. When we got home I called camping world and was told to bring it in and I could get it repaired. I went to the store today and was informed by the Mgr. via the service writer that they did not repair bicycles. I find it strange because after some research I find that CW is the sole importer and distributor and sell of this brand of bike. The rim is unique to this brand of bike. Looking at bike shops I cannot find a matching rim or tire. I do not know where I heard the term " IF WE SELL IT WE REPAIR IT" but CW needs to adopt that policy.......The other thing is why would they tell me when I called to bring it in if they do not repair bicycles ?

Thank you for your time and post regarding the item you purchased at the Camping World in Tampa, FL. I would like to look further into this. Can you please send us a PM with your contact information and membership number if available.

    Thanks
    Jessica

I'd try a different one, Sounds like your shop just didn't want to deal with something they haven't see before. Someone has to be able to order one. If you wait for CW to order one it will be 3 years out.

How about a size of the tire maybe we could find you one
  • To be honest, and I am not a CW apologist. But truthfully bikes are not their thing. At best they could only tell you where to order a part, and if you know the bike name, You know that already. So I would send the bike maker a email and see what you can do. They prolly have a customer service dept.

However had it been defective they should replace it. Which brings us to the bike carrier. Why did it break, and was it new?
