Android Tablet eReader

I have a hundred dollar 8" Android tablet and would like to explore reading electronic books on the cheap. What is a good app and book source
  • Thanks to all. I will check out Kindle, Nook, and the library.

Check your community library. For me it was as simple as getting a library card which enabled me to access the the e-book catalog. If you're an Amazon Prime member they offer a 2 or 3 month Kindle unlimited offer, $9.99 a month thereafter. You would just need to download the Kindle app to your device.

"Your search for 'ereader' found 1 matches".

Must be under another topic? I am not too lazy, maybe a little.
  • Most public libraries have some type of ebook lending. Many use national services like Overdrive or Hoopla, so even smaller libraries can offer the service.
  • As I recall Barnes and Noble have thousands of free books, and just as many for purchase on the cheap. They have a Ebook reader app called Nook. Amazon is about the same but their reader is Kindle.
  • If you are an amazon prime member they do have ebooks and maybe some magazines that are free to read.

This topic has been discussed recently and according to others their are several other sources such as a library network that offers free ebooks. These folks should see this and reply to you soon. I am feeling lazy or I would search this forum and also Google for those free sources. Good luck.
