The only problem I see is that some of those devices are not very clean RF wise (They cause interference and are in turn subject to interference from outside sources) but... Frankly.. That's not that big an issue less you are parked next to someone who uses radios a lot like me.
They should work, in fact they should work very well epically on a 30 amp rig.
I ran one Cat-5 (had dealer do it) and put a switch in the electronics bay at the front of the bus, Put the router at teh back of the bus (on the wall), use From there.
The printer is Wi-Fi
This laptop is Wi-Fi or wired
Other laptop can be Wi-Fi or Wired
//Main (A desktop) can be Wi-Fi or Wired. Is parked directly under router so it's wired except for when I am in a park without Wi-Fi.
Also... years ago they made a device called a "Wireless Game Adapter" (Linksys WGA-54G) you can still find em on E-Bay.. I have one atop a flagpole just now.
I modified it just a bit (no actual changes to the device, The mod is to Mount it so the antenna is directional inside a director)
It looks to the park router a long distance away
CAT-5 to a Belkin Router
And the router distrubutes to 2 DVR's (wired) and all the other stuff.
Wire for this laptop is off the switch mounted next to the front DVR. It used to feed a printer as well.
Wire for the other Wired laptop.. Well that laptop repaced one with a bad Wi-Fi adapter
Wi-Fi on the Desktop is used when I need to download a new TV guide and I'm in a park with no Wi-Fi.. That computer serves program guides to the two DVR's,, They think IT is the internet, ALL of the internet in one small box :). (Ok so there is a program running on it that does magic).
All with
I wire this laptop when I am having issues with the Park Wi-Fi.. Since I just identified those (And fixed them) I can drop it to wi-fi and coil it's feed.
(The problem: Park router was overheating and doing bad things.. The FIX, a Fan, also park property, blowing on the beast)
