Not surprising since android now has 75% of the smart phone market share. I use anti virus soft ware on my phone and don't sweat it.
Either phone is a good choice. I have an iPhone 4S and an Android Galaxy S4. I prefer the Sammy S4 and is my daily phone. I would get along fine with the 4S as well. Bottom line is spend a little time with both choices and pick what feels comfortable to you.
