Apple IPhone or android?

I saw this on the internet and thought it was quite humorous.

Apple’s products say, “You can’t do that because we think it would suck.”
Microsoft’s products say, “We’ll let you try to do anything on anything if you really want to, even if it sucks.”

If you are on Verizon you might look at trading the iPhone 4 in. I traded my wifes 4 in for the iPhone 5 and they gave us $100 credit for the $99 original 5. Cost of purchase was $30 for the changeover to the new phone.

Just go to XDA Developers and look up your Android device choice.
Check thru the forums to see how crappy or happy the owners are.

On XDA everyone hates everything or loves everything.
As far as Android it's the best way to get real insight on any Android or other (except iDevices) phones, tablets, phablets.

XDA is a development site, yet the info on there is galactic in size.
I learned a lot about Android on XDA.

Either will work for you, either can be learned, and either will elicit passionate responses from others. Currently, Android devices significantly outsell iPhone devices - Market share for Android is up to 75%, Apple is 23%, Blackberry is falling past 10%, and Windows is around 10% also.

There are 100's of thousands of applications available for either device. I've found more high-quality applications available for free on Android than on iPhone.

I've found an Android phone (Samsung is the market leader in the Android set) with Verizon service to be an excellent combination. I'm willing to pay for great service, connections almost everywhere I go, and good quality. Verizon has delivered all three, at least for me. The Android can be a WiFi hotspot so that several of your wifi devices can connect to the Android which then connects to the Internet via cellular. This lets you use your laptop computer to surf the internet while inside a vehicle driving down the highway or parked in a campground.

Are apps you buy for an iPhone able to be used for your next phone? With Android, apps I bought for my 1st phone are able to be downloaded to any other Android device I own (including tablets). If it's the same for Apple, then if you stick with an iPhone, you won't need to rebuy your favorite apps but if you switch to Android, you'd have to buy new apps.

This is no different then the classic Windows/Mac or Ford/Chevy debate. Both platforms will get the job done, it's really simply a matter of personal preference.

Not surprising since android now has 75% of the smart phone market share. I use anti virus soft ware on my phone and don't sweat it.

Either phone is a good choice. I have an iPhone 4S and an Android Galaxy S4. I prefer the Sammy S4 and is my daily phone. I would get along fine with the 4S as well. Bottom line is spend a little time with both choices and pick what feels comfortable to you.

There are overlays for Android to make it look and perform like an Iphone. This gives the benefit of better Android Specs. The new Iphone 5S seems to have sensor issues. The fingerprint scanner looks to be a neat toy. It only took two days until it was hacked. If you're already in the Apple ecosystem it does make sense to stay. If you want more options and power than Android is ready. I do recommend going with a higher end device like the Samsung S4, HTC One or Motorola X. If you can wait a month or two the MotoX will be available in custom colors on Verizon.

Definitely recommend heading to the store to play with each.

...which also makes it much more susceptible to viruses and malware. iPhone has had one or two issues, but Androids have many many more security issues.

I'm thinking a bad app or maybe Nova Launcher paid version might be what caused my 500 dollar Android tablet to not boot from recovery.

I don't think it's bricked because for a while I could get to recovery.
Android can be a real nightmare when it decides to freak out on an expensive device.

Android can be really weird too because sometimes it will just right itself with no update.

I really like my Android phone.

I disliked the idea of being bound to a on-screen keyboard, so I got an Android with a physical QWERTY keyboard and am happy I did.

As far as Malware goes, I find that running a program like TrustGo and ESET (both are FREE and have other uses than virus protection, like backing up your SMS conversations and contacts to the cloud, etc) is all you need to protect your stuff.

I love my Apple iTouch though! Wouldn't and couldn't trade it for anything else comparable.
