Are there any plans to fix the captcha doo doo?

The subject is my question.

Went through to be posted this time.
  • I thought it was a "how long you've been a member but I see the OP has been on since 2001. I to have been a forum member since AOL was all I had for internet. I have never had the Captcha request for posting.

On second thought it could be your internet supplier is suspect or you are a robot.
  • Like others, I have been using the RV.net portal for over a dozen years, do log on from a number of different devices from many different locations and have never seen a CAPTCHA pop up. Strange thread.

    Ditto.
  • I've never seen captcha on rv.net but then I always leave my PC on with a browser tab on rv.net so I'm always in.

However, I have noticed that I'm getting car themed captchas from google. It's squawking about the VPN on my browser - Opera.

Maybe just for those who have lived an impure life. :p :B

    Can't be. I haven't seen it either. :o

Okay I'll re-caption it "Captcha mess". There have been several posts regarding it and it seems to happen most often with those of us that use the RV.NET portal to enter the forums.

I have not seen anything from the Mods nor from the Admin. Maybe it is something that they installed. I'm going to try and post this and se what happens.

The problem is not rv.net. This usually comes from using either the chrome or firefox browser. I have seen it happen in both and have heard of it happening in both edge and internet explorer. In some cases the browser "thinks" there is too much traffic going to a certain site(even when there is not). It is a known issue with these browsers. There are two possible fixes. 1) update to newest version of the browser. 2) clear your history(cache) on the browser.
There are also reports that certain ISPs are having this happen on the browser and there is nothing you can do on your end but report it to your provider.
  • Craigslist is the king of that bullpoop. I almost think the scam posters are triggering it.

I visit CraigsList regularly and very rarely see the captcha thing.
