Are there any plans to fix the captcha doo doo?

The subject is my question.

Went through to be posted this time.

  • I almost always enter thru rv.net. Have never had a Captcha pop up. Do you change IPs often or use various PC from different locations? Maybe that is why it pops up for you.
  • Okay I'll re-caption it "Captcha mess". There have been several posts regarding it and it seems to happen most often with those of us that use the RV.NET portal to enter the forums.

I have not seen anything from the Mods nor from the Admin. Maybe it is something that they installed. I'm going to try and post this and se what happens.
  • "the subject is my question". Having never experienced captcha doo doo myself (whatever the hell that is), I'd say it's already fixed.
  • I think he is referring to the bug where this site pushes you into that Captcha much more often than it should. Doesn't happen all the time for me, never on my phone, but sometimes on my Mac.
  • Did you ever sign on somewhere and go through a test to make sure you are a human? Enter a string of characters, that sort of thing? That is Captcha" technology to make sure you are not a computer trying to hammer your way in. Apparently computers can now defeat that technology over 80% of the time if I recall correctly.

One of my sites uses an interesting replacement. They show you a half-dozen pictures and say pick the ones with cars or pick the ones with roads or whatever. Some of the pictures have a fragment of the object. Sometimes after getting some they show you even more, but eventually you exhaust the list and they decide you are a human after all.

  • You may have to explain "the captcha doo doo". Seems a bit cryptic.
