That is actually the number of subscribers lost by all AT&T video services. That includes Directv Now, U-verse and well as standard Directv. Both Directv Now and U-verse are platforms that are not delivered by satellite. Directv Now is an internet platform and U-verse is wired. Both of those two platforms are much more impacted by alternative options. There are many internet video options and several options for video to be delivered by cabling. Satellite Television, not so much. I couldn't find a breakout for Directv satellite television only for the last quarter, but while subscriptions have been declining, they have not declined as fast as the other platforms. The most recent figures I found show around 16 million subscribers to the Satellite platform with approximately 90,000 subscribers lost in the 4nd quarter of 2018. That is a far cry from losing 2.3 million.
