- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIIt's pretty clear that the US is not even CLOSE to being able to replace ICE with electric. The infrastructure is far outdated and too many areas have nothing more than the minimum amount of electric distribution to make an expansion to all electric impossible by today's standards and hard to comprehend how it would be expanded. CA has major brown-outs and black-outs when it gets too hot. What would happen if they also have to charge all of those cars? ICE will go the way of the DooDoo bird but more than likely that will be 50-100 years from now. You know....the same as satellite TV! Tee Hee!

Renewable Energy Outpaces Coal For First Time in the U.S.
The end is near for coal and soon after other forms of fossil fuel.
If I was making my living off mining coal, I'd encourage my son to learn how to install/maintain some sort of renewable energy source. - GordonThreeExplorerJust because it's there doesn't mean it's a good idea to burn it.

Yet worldwide oil production and natural gas production is at all time highs. Even the consumption of coal has only leveled off at the all time highs. Like Mark Twain is famously misquoted as saying: "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated"
They are. Fossil fuel is done. - westernrvparkowExplorer

I was planning a trip to Hawaii next year, but I see that Boeing is investing in space travel. Apparently that means that airplanes will be gone by the time I want to go. Guess I better start working on my long distance swimming stroke.timmac wrote:

Did you see that Dish Network is spending 10 Billion on the New 5G Internet and not spending money on the old out dated satellite TV service anymore..
Even Dish Network sees the New future and dumping the past, but thanks for keep sending them money to build that 5G internet..
Streaming is the new better deal...

Hey did you see that Ford is spending millions on a new elec F150. I guess gas trucks are a thing of the past.
Isn't the spin game fun. - GordonThreeExplorerThey are. Fossil fuel is done. Just such a large and intricate organization, it will transition rather than die off.
No different than yesterday's cable company is today's cellular provider and todays movie studio. - goducks10Explorer

Isn't the spin game fun. - SoloExplorerBefore you switch to your favorite streaming provider so that you can use your new unlimited cellular plan and the new cell booster that's been installed on your RV, check to see how that provider is working with dynamic IP addressing. I use my RV to travel in as many of us do and depending upon the streaming provider, this is a real problem as I attempt to use my fancy new cellular equipment and the provider only allows 4 moves per year as one of the industry's leading company does. As more and more streaming providers may limit the number of simultaneous streams by using static IP addressing (say goodbye to your friends who you have shared your password with!), streaming may become the "dead" technology for us RVers who actually move with their RV.
