plugging into the auxiliary outputs on a rv stereo or a car stereo will not kill the speaker output. they are there to add amplifiers to the stereo many people use the head unit amps for speakers and add a subwoofer amplifier to the rca outputs. if it has a headphone output jack that will shutdown the speakers. most rv stereos have separate speaker switches some of them have 3 speaker switches. a add on speaker switch can be installed on any stereo.
