I have used the Winegard Carryout G-2 for DirecTv SD signal for the past 5 years and just recently retired it to dust-catcher status on a shelf in the garage as we switched over to HD. The Carryout always performed flawlessly. Although I have never actually tried it, the G-2 is supposedly compatible with Dish as well by adjusting some dip switch settings under the dome.
