Back up camera

Anyone ever tried those inexpensive, magnet cameras you can move around from the rear of you trailer to the bumper of your tow vehicle? Just looking for something to use so my wife doesn’t have to guide me. They’re probably too good to be true.

  • Do you have a metal rear bumper to stick it on to? Most trailers are wood and fiberglass. Even bumpers on vehicles are plastic now a days.

  • I bought a set on Amazon that magnetically sticks to the bumper and I use them when towing to see what's behind me, as well as backing into sites.  The cameras also have solar charging, so no battery replacements needed.  IMO, works great in conjunction with mirrors.

  • I bought a cheap $15 camera from Amazon. It worked, but it was so wide-angle, I couldn't really use it for what I wanted - backing my truck hitch to my travel trailer.
