Ok, you are sending the signal from front to back with factory installed coax?
Several thoughts come to mind, The Crimp on connectors they use take not much more than a good hard sneeze to pull off, if they pull out just a bit you get a bad connection and it shows up as a poor signal.
Second the cable is usualy lowest bidder RG-59.. Now at TV frequencies and runs under a couple hundred feet this SHOULD be Good, but quality RG-6 is better, Period, Much, Much, Better.
But another issue is the guy who stapled the cable to the stud.. RIGHT THROUGH THE CABLE (hey it happens) also you may have a splitter or such somewhere along the line (Connectors and I've had splitters go bad on me).
