I'm getting ready to change carriers for the internet and phone and after reading all the posts here about Verizon rates, changing rates, throttling back, contract problems, etc. I don't think I would ever consider them. And they do not have the best coverage as they have seemed to convince everyone.

Change away. But Verizon does have the best coverage nationally, regardless of what anyone says. Data costs money and as people want more, costs rise. That's why all the plans today have unlimited talk and unlimited text but data usage is capped. Of course Verizon is going to raise rates on those providers who piggyback off their network, making money is why they have invested billions upon billions of dollars in their network.
