As others have said, you can use your old router as a access point. Set it to the same channel, SSID, password, new IP (for example, if main router is 192.168.1.1, make your old router 192.168.1.2) and make sure you plug the network cable into a lan port (not the wan port) and turn off DHCP and other routing functions on old router. Google "cascade routers" for more information.
