I carry the HP Photosmart C7280 with my DELL M90 computer setup... Always needing to print some small pictures for friends anyway... Think I paid just over $200 for it refurbished from AMAZON..
Moving around with it hasn't bother it at all over the years... I know there are smaller units out there but this is what I had to use at the time...
I never worried about anything being 12VDC operated. I have a 600WATT PSW Inverter setup for my work horse units... I think the transformer for the C7280 is rated around 150WATTS@120VAC...
