Called to Buy a New Refrigerator
I need to replace my Dometic Refrigerator. After adding up the price for new components with shipping I concluded that for another $200.00 I could have a new one with warranty.
Decided that with a Camping World (Katy/Houston-TX) only sixty odd miles away I would call and purchase one. I called three different times within a 10 minute period. Explained to the receptionist that the previous person she had routed my call to had gone to voice mail. In each case I left a voice mail for each sales person with my name and contact number.
After waiting an hour for a return call I called the Holiday World that is down the street less than a mile from the Camping World. I was pasted to a sales person (Brenna) who looked it up for me, gave me the price with shipping from the Dallas warehouse, and told me it would be ready for pickup tomorrow.
Since my fridge is a common model I feel reasonably sure that I will receive what I ordered and paid for. (Nearly $1600.00)
I have also received an additional confirmation update from Brenna that the truck will leave Dallas tonight with the fridge on it.
I wanted to give Camping World the first shot at it and could not get a return call from three sales persons. I left in the voice mail what I wanted to purchase, with my information.
I guess some folks make too much money to bother with returning calls.
It has been six hours since my first call to CW and have not had a single return call.
Ebay sellers needed me to have a business address to drop the shipment at and with shipping was only $100.00 cheaper and one week out.
