Why are so many complaining about capitalism?
Camping World has THE RIGHT to set prices where ever they want.
It must be working or they would change their model.
People are willing to pay for convenience and immediate acquisition.
Nothing wrong with that and convenience and immediate acquisition are worth something. The marketplace determines the worth.
I don't think it's the "capitalism" that folks are upset with. It's the daily flyers and the deluge of emails and the constant badgering of buy this from camping world, we are so inexpensive we will give you 50 dollars off of anything. When in truth they are not inexpensive they are more expensive than most RV places. I guess its the lies that turn people off. That's why Camping World is not a good business model and the reason they are not moving up in the market place. They are still privately owned and will never be a huge corporation because their business model can not stand up to national scrutiny. They are probably elbows deep in debt but of course we will not know because like I said they are private. If they where on sound footing they would have gone Public a long time ago. Why do I say that?? Because that's capitalism. That's what capitalism does, that's where the real money is.
Just IMHO
Camping world will soon be "going public". They are in the process of finalizing the terms of their IPO.
