Nowhere do we imply the customer was wrong. Call it lip service if you like but I don't feel thats the case.
When we screw up we admit it and try to make it right. I will leave it at that.

NO matter what others said, I think you made a fair and reasonable effort the make tings right. If the OP wants more.... Two percent of the American public you cannot please no matter what you do.
The measure of a company is determined by what the company does when humans working there make a mistake. I say you "done good."
