Put an app on your smartphone.

You can verify that the remotes IR LED is working if you observe it with your cellphone camera. It will show what your eye can't see.

You are all awesome, thanks for the fast replies. It is indeed a Concertone ZX700. So here is my next question, ANYONE FOUND A DECENT REPLACEMENT FOR THIS THING? I am not really looking to rebuild the cabinet around something entirely different. I have seen others mention in the Forest River forums of going with the IRV66, which is supposed to be a direct replacement. For the money, I would expect HDMI inputs and outputs, as well as Blu-Ray. I will be running a Blu-Ray player in the RV. At this point, this is just going to be my receiver, just like the one in my house. It will function as a radio and amplifier to send sound to the surround sound speakers in the coach.

there is a button that says zx700 on it about the middle of the remote press that and try again that remote can be programed to operate other devices. if it is not in the right mode it will not work.

Remove the entertainment system. There should be 4 or 6 screws around the outside (may be covered by plastic "frame" that can be pried off). The name and model number should be on back
