- Fastfwd75ExplorerLet's not get paranoid about this.
Never reply to an email for personal information(password, phone, name, ...) This is when you need to find the real number and call.
In this case the poster obviously already has your email so there is no danger in just clicking on the link. Worse case he spammed a bunch of people and you just confirmed that your email is active.
There is the small threat of viruses from webpages exploits but if you keep your software updated and don't run stuff from the webpage you should be fine. Also any good browser will show you the real domain name in the address bar on top to confirm where you are. - notevenExplorer III

Whenever we get e-mails like this, supposedly from companies or organizations we have business with, we ALWAYS call the company or organization from their KNOWN telephone numbers and inquire. Sometimes, they want us to forward them the bogus e-mail. 100% of the time, the bogus e-mails were "bogus". We never even open them now, we just immediately call or delete. Even if RV.net sent me an e-mail like that, it would get deleted!

- notevenExplorer IIIFor the next month I expect to be bombarded by spam at my work asking me for "confirmation" to receive emails that I don't receive now....
delete - BurwoodsExplorerI have received a couple of emails about this, one from my insurance company and have no idea right now the other one. After going to the site, I found it amusing that they want you to sign up for email updates from them. As for this site I only get notifications if I request them on a certain thread anyway.
- Fastfwd75Explorergot the confirmation email from the forums. Clicked it. Got a message back about some error on the resulting webpage. I am still receiving notifications by email so probably still worked.
