Those stationary disks are worthless unless you are staying in one position. I bought one that had no instructions at all. I got it put together by looking at the one on my house. When I contacted the seller I was told that I need professional installation. I asked them how that was possible when you move from place to place in an RV. I also thought it was false advertising because that should have been said on the web site. Aiming was almost impossible. I did get it working once for a time, but wind blew the thing over and I couldn't get it back. I couldn't get them to take it back without my paying for shipping, so I finally just junked it and bought a King Quest. Even with that I had to have an installer come to my RV and get the box set up right. That cost me nothing since I have service as part of my Direct TV service. I got the box from them for nothing and I pay just $7 a month for another receiver. Now everything works fine when we move from place to place - just get the dish aimed generally to the south and it finds the satellite quickly and I'm watching TV in a few minutes, although just SD only.
This is absolute BS. It takes me less than five minutes to setup my Slimline dish and get a signal from all three satellites. The first couple of times took a little bit of time, but after that, it is a snap. It helps if you read online about what you are trying to do so you have an understanding how everything works. I'm a simple plumber. It's not rocket science.
