Can't stay loged in on FF or IE/ I got it fixed

Every time I leave FF or IE I loose the login. I checked my cookies and they are turned on. My home page is Verizon/yahoo. This started back when yahoo was hacked. I called Verizon tech support with no success.?????
  • Watching this, as I also have to log on every morning to all programs, after the computer has been turned off. I have IE10 and My Yahoo for a home page. Been going on for about a month now.
  • It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Have you checked the setting that erases cookies when the browser closes?

    X2
  • The free CCleaner will clear out both your old cache files and cookies on all your browsers with one click. Just make sure you're not using some type of privacy app that erases cookies when closing the browser, regardless of your settings.
  • I called Verizon again. This time I got a tech who knew what to look for. In our screen sharing session he was able to view my yahoo registration forum. It seems when yahoo got hacked it not only dumped my password but it also dumped my registration. Once he got me registered again everything worked as it should.
