When DD started college in 2003, we bought her a laptop. I offered to get it set up for her but she let her "boyfriend" do it. He thought it would be funny to select "Ukrainian" when it asked for language. Yep, Cyrillic characters. No way to undo it, but reformat the hard drive and re-install everything. She brought it to me, and I did the set up after getting everything installed again.
