For Wilson Sleek, the jetpack would need to be on the cradle. Mobile Pro 4G would need to be near/close to the internal antenna. Yes, your jetpack would still connect via wifi.
I still recommend the Sleek 4g to friends. It's near $100 on Amazon. The Pro 4g is more expensive. The Pro 4g does 5 devices with greater signal strength increase.
