The trouble with all of these methods for connecting to the Internet remotely while RV'ing is: Data limits.
I'd love to watch Netflix in HD, evenings when camping, but that is pretty much impossible with those doggone data caps. I'm used to my fast home Internet service (wireless into the home) with unlimited data so we can watch a lot of streaming. I wish there was a way to access 4G speeds in the RV along with unlimited data access. Just reading email and checking out the news doesn't exactly hack it for us in the evenings on RV trips.
netflix has a solution for data limits. (somewhat) go to your netflix account and you can set the compression rate (or data rate, don't recall which you set). select the lowest data rate or highest compression. For us it's still very fine on a 27" tv, better than the old Std NTSC broadcast quality.
Now netflix in HD, yup, that's a data hog, something around 500MB/hr IIRC.
