I've set mine on "Auto" so that the Netflix server sends you the best picture (least compression) that it can, depending upon the speed of your current connection. At home I usually get the least compression for the best picture which is OK with unlimited data, as our 58 inch screen needs high data rates coming in to produce images looking not too fuzzy.
I sure envy the RV'ers who still have the old unlimited data plans. However, I think that these old plans are at only 3G speeds, not 4G speeds. Now ... an unlimited 4G plan would really be something to covet for RV trip movie watching.
I set the netflix data rate before we leave, use auto at home, and low data rate for the trailer. Yes, would be nice if you could set the data rate with Roku. And if you could set the data rate for Amazon prime as well.
