Cell phone and broadband signal booster

I'm looking for advice/input/suggestions regarding my plan to purchase a Wilson Electronics #460108 4G booster kit.
We travel during the winter and occasionally encounter instances when I cannot get a cell phone or broadband signal.
Verizon is my carrier.
I have talked to several other snowbirds and they have Wilson equipment to eleviate this problem.
Would love feedback from others who have had success resolving signal issues while traveling.

Thanks,
  • In our RV we use a 12V Wilson cellular amplifier fed by a Wilson cellular antenna on the roof of the RV. Using this setup I can often get Internet access with no bars showing on our cellular phones. With bars showing on the phones, our Wilson setup will often boost what the phones show by one or two bars.

Just because a phone shows no bars does not mean there's no signal present. Always try cellular amplification equipment even though no bars show on phones, as oftimes there's cellular signals present that a phone cannot detect but can be amplified enough to access the Internet through cell tower systems.
  • Depends. Weak signal an amplifier will give 1 or 2 bars more. No service nothing is going to help. Wilson is good equipment but there are others out there just as good for less money.
