How close can the roof antenna and the interior antenna be mounted together?

I just installed a Weboost RV booster.
My instructions didn’t mention a distance BUT they said to try it in a trial setup before drilling holes.
They also had comments in the FAQ section on troubleshooting that said if you get oscillations or blinking red green led to move them farther apart.
Mine ended up less than 8’ apart and it works ok so far.
