Chromecast..is designed to use your "NETWORK" to mirror the pc screen to the TV, in this case your NETWORK was VerizonSo are you saying the OP used his phone as a wifi hot spot, logged his computer into it, then logged his Chromecast dongle into the same hotspot and, because the phone is not a router, the phone used the Verizon network as a router thereby consuming all that bandwidth to broadcast from the PC. Who'd'a thunk that could happen :?
