I believe that the reason they call it cloud printing is because even though you may be in the same room as your wireless printer and it is set up with the cloud print capability, if your internet connection is down, you will not be able to print to your printer because the print job must go to the cloud first and then back to your printer. Chromebooks do have bluetooth capability also and if your printer has bluetooth you may be able to print via that but I am not sure of that one. on edit, the bluetooth will not work as a wireless printer function.
