When Microsoft cut the free storage to 5GB, they did offer existing users the opportunity to keep the full 15GB on request. I don't know if that offer is still open though. I run a program called "OwnCloud" on my hosted web server for my own offsite storage. My available space is currently 792GB. I also maintain space on One Drive and Google Drive, where I store some redundant encrypted backups.

One person's cloud is another person's storage device. Do you REALLY want your "stuff" housed by someone else? Big brother is watching us enough the way it is. Shoot.... big brother probably read this post as I was typing it, one keystroke at a time, even before I hit the "Post Message" button!

There's always something bad to say about anything.

I use Amazon. No problems yet. Part of my backup strategy.
