But it did not ring.
Turn out when there is no coverage, the phone keeps seeking the coverage and takes much more power, so it drained the batteries in just few hr.
Don't know if smart phones have better software, but something to check before depending on it.
Putting the phone in "airplane mode" will disable the radios and allow it run a long time on a full charge.
