COMM (communication) while camping or boondocking

Us TC'ers have mobility many of our other "campers" brethren can't touch. Our ability to get off the "beaten path" and explore and camp is unmatched except by few others. It's what makes us unique. ...

Perhaps SPOT technology is "old tech". Most consider the DeLorme inReach Explorer as the state of the art. If you have comm concerns, this is your best bet. This is the DeLorme's "kitchen sink" offering Explorer.

And of course, you could carry a satellite phone.
