Comments on Cisco Router AC1200

I have Satellite Service for my internet..It is not dish.
Icurrently have a linksys WRT 160N which has been great. But since I got the 722 from dish with the sling I can not get the on demand function..I can watch TV anywhere which is great but would like to take advantage of the on demand factor..I have called Dish Tech Support and they said maybe port 40 or 443 on the router is blocked and I thought I would just upgrade to the latest 802.11ac.

I currently have about 8-9 Cisco Linkys routers, most all using updated third party firmware(DD-WRT or TomatoUSB). Never an issue with any of them.

Ed, I need more info. Do you have DSL, Cable, as provider? Most of those modems have extra ports, negating the need for an external router. Otherwise, I would try for a less expensive router, like Linksys etc.
