- riven1950ExplorerWE have ST phones and HS and are pleased with price and service. Use phones daily and HS only when camping. No experience with Net 10.
- MerrykaliaExplorerI can't compare them, but we have had a Straight Talk phone for over 5 years and have not had any problems with it. The only time we don't have service is in eastern Kentucky and we only go there once or twice a year for a few hours. We found a 10-12 mile stretch of I-81 in West Virginia that we didn't have service, but as soon as we crossed into MD, we had service again.
I have a Samsung Galaxy and DH has an Iphone and we have great service even though we only have 3G. It's a non-issue with us. - Dutch_12078Explorer III transitioned my Millenicom hotspot to Verizon direct at $100/mo. For our usage, that's cheaper than Straight Talk, even with the $10/mo increase over Millenicom's rate. We typically use 23-24GB/mo, and our Verizon plan costs $5/GB for the first 20GB, and $8/GB over that. Straight Talk's cheapest rate is $10/GB. I am keeping my Straight Talk UMX 3G hotspot around though, for use as an emergency spare if something happens to my Verizon 4620LE hotspot.
- MerrykaliaExplorerHere is a thread from a few months ago. This question about Straight talk, AT&T, Millenicom and Verizon hotspots has been asked numerous times, so there are all sorts of threads about them. This is just one of them.
