Look into this. I used this to transmitt audio to a pair of regular earphones by using the companion receiver unit. The problem I had was that the audio out jacks on the tv had no volume control function. I had to buy an earphone preamp unit to vary the volume. If you can vary the earphone jack volume with your tv remote I bet this would work.
