- samhain7ExplorerWhile I love hearing the options...that inverter wasn't a choice...
- JiminDenverExplorer III've been using a PowerBright 150w MSW inverter for the flat screen/satellite plus phone charging, netbook charging and for me, it's been fine.

pure sine wave inverter $100.00
Is it just me or is there no outlet on that unit. - samhain7ExplorerAgree Soundguy. That's why I though of your inverter route. I don't need that much power now. But down the road...
Btw. Did your inverter come with a 12 v plug? The only thing I don't want yo get into is routing wired etc.
It will go on sale again at cdn tire. I don't have my boo docking trip until the first of Aug. - pianotunaNomad III

OK, I think I will skip the cheap inverters and look at one of the better quality inverters suggested here.
And therein lies the rub. Here in Canada you won't find any sine wave inverter, regardless of size, for under $200 unless it's complete junk and anything you might order online will attract additional charges for exchange rate, shipping, and import fees. Doesn't make sense when you can wander down to your local Crappy Tire and pick up the same 1000 watt sine wave inverter I have, rumoured to be an Xantrex, right off the shelf, 2 yr warranty included. Sure, for your current intended purpose a 300 watt model may be all you need but if you can't buy it for significantly less than this 1000 watt model, which I know you can't, then there's no point to it ... just buy the larger one and be done with it. It's just too bad you missed last week's sale, $199 + tax, which as I said earlier can't be beat here in Canada. - Ron3rdExplorer IIITo the OP: What do you intend to use the inverter for? If just electronics, like TV, etc, you don't need 750 watts as around 300 watts is the sweet spot IMO. I have a 300 watt Samlex PST series Pure Sine Wave inverter, around $150 in the US. Be careful what your buy, some have very noise fans that run constantly. The better inverters have a thermo controlled fan that only comes on when needed. The very best like Morningstar have no fan at all.
- samhain7ExplorerAs discussed, the link works for anyone in Canada but not from the US
My bad, but of course I could never tell or know that that since I am in Canada.
Anyway, back to inverters.... LOL
